friends.
shit who knows, who needs them, who cares. some people tend to say a person, or believe a person is there friend based on how a person looks, how funny they are, and other shallow shit etc. but I don't think these one's true identity is revealed until you guys go through some shit. let this 'friend' be put in another role, out of their usual and see how they perform. your answer should be clear, then.
just my thoughts

At work bored...

I'm kinda bored at work, browsing facebook and myspace on my moto q9c have gotten old. I've given texting a break on the same phone, and don't really have much work to do. So I popped in Curren$y's Independence Day mixtape. Few months old, but worth the replay value...be sure to peep his latest tape: Super Tecmo Bowl.
Later.

New Music Worth Peeping
Haven't wrote in a while, but here's some stuff worth giving a listen.
Nas - Untitled (in stores 7.15.08)

Well, it's been on the net for a couple weeks now. I'm pleased with what I heard, better than his last couple of albums in my opinion. Seems like someone told him he should have better beats, because there are some nice beats on this one an he spittin as usual.
N.E.R.D.- Seeing Sounds (in stores now)

I admit, I didn't really mess with them back in the day, but lately since my taste in music has been expanding I decided to give them a chance. Album is pretty cool, saw them in concert at the Glow in the Dark tour in Auburn Hills in May, they brought a lot of energy to the show.
OH yEA.....i'm gonna try to start putting up some stuff regularly since blogs are so in style right now lol..

Jay-Z & Mary J. Blige: Heart Of The City Tour at The Palace of Auburn Hills
For a college student who's been taking finals all week, what a better way to conclude the week than seeing Mary and Hov in concert. The show began with both speaking in a video recording, they would start off performing "Can't Knock The Hustle" from Jay's Reasonable Doubt album. After that, Jay left the stage and Mary would run through her range of hits. She really took it back to the 90s during her performance. Mary really made strong connection with the women in attendance, all of the girls sitting around me were jamming through every song and the love could definitely be felt. That was fine with me, but I'm a Jay fan, so I was waiting for him to return to the stage to rip it.

When Mary was done with her portion of the show, Jay re-emerged to the sounds of "Say Hello" from his latest album, American Gangster. He was accompanied by a live band and would run through "I Know", his verse from Beyonce's "Upgrade U", "U Don't Know", "99 Problems" and many others. I hadn't seen Jay in concert in a few years so it was crazy to me, especially when he performed "Public Service Announcement" from The Black Album. He performed "Blue Magic" and at the "Fuck Bush" part of the song went into a little political campaigning of his own. He performed "Minority Report" acappella then exercised his freedom of speech; promoting change as an image of Barack Obama was displayed behind him.

Jay ran through more hits, even at one point going over to his dj teasing the crowd with some of hits from over the years. Mary would return to the stage to perform "Heart of the City" from Jay's The Blueprint album, then they closed with their latest song together for the tour "You're Welcome". Overall, it was a great show, very exciting (loud fireworks), good lighting and very positive. Should've been there.
